Critical self-talk has become ubiquitous, almost a badge of honor, like perfectionism, but both keep us trapped in cycles of negativity and self-blame. With consequences of playing-it-safe, procrastination and avoidance, we need to learn “how-to-fail”, and fail well, rather than blaming ourselves for failing in the first place.
In this workshop, you’ll learn the art of self-appreciation while diffusing self-sabotaging habits like procrastination, avoidance, perfectionism and multitasking. You’ll learn how to resist ruminating over your mistakes and overidentifying with your failures. You’ll learn how to identify when your thoughts are working against you and how to correct negative self-talk. We will develop a plan to help you get unstuck and then we’ll put that plan into action to help you progress to a more compassionate and appreciative you.
Professor Maja draws on her 6-year global study on women’s confidence to help you objectively appraise and reappraise your failures, develop healthier self-talk habits, learn how to be nicer to yourself and lead with confidence.
Don’t be defined by your failures. It’s time to step into the learning opportunities they create and reframe your relationship with failure to excel as a leader in work and life.
